An altar server is a lay minister in at least 3rd grade who assists the clergy during liturgical celebrations such as Catholic Masses, Weddings, and Funerals. Altar servers are responsible for processing into the church, setting the altar table, and presenting prayers and readings to the priest. Children ages 4 through 7 are invited to participate in the Children's Liturgy of the Word, offered each Sunday at the 11:00am Mass. Children, as well as their adult catechists, gather after the Gathering Rite and return to the assembly for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Please contact the Faith Formation office with questions or to be involved.
Ushers and greeters are resonsible for welcoming parishioners and visitors into the worship space each week for Mass. If you would like to become involved as an usher or greeter at Mass, please contact Jim Hanna to register.
Eucharistic ministers distribute Holy Communion at weekend and Holy Day Masses. In addition, ministers of Holy Communion may serve on one of the Homebound teams to provide the Eucharist to homebound parishioners as well as several nursing homes in the area.
